My Journey — From Greece to "With Elli"
Hi, I'm Elli. I've always been drawn to meaning — in stories, in people, and in the quiet details of everyday life. My journey began with a simple question: How can life feel softer, kinder, and more balanced? I don't have all the answers, but I've learned that curiosity, connection, and creativity make a beautiful place to start.
My Roots
I'm from Thessaloniki, Greece — a city full of contrasts and deep cultural layers. Some echoes come from the glorious Ottoman past, others from ancient myths and philosophies that still shape our lives today. I carry both the light and the shadows of my hometown with me — memories that continue to shape who I am.
My grandmother, my beloved yiayia, was a guiding light. Through her, I learned to honor traditions, cook with love, and see rituals as a way to stay connected to those who came before me. Even today, I follow the customs she passed down — not only to remember her but to feel rooted and whole.
Moments That Changed Me
Moving to Leiden in the Netherlands to live with my partner was a turning point — a leap into the unknown, love, and shared growth. Alongside this move came another journey: understanding my mental health, working through anxiety, and slowly learning how to feel safe, balanced, and at home within myself.
What I Love
Art, in all its forms, has always been a quiet companion. I love creating, exploring new ideas, and making space for expression without pressure or perfection. I believe that through simple creativity, emotional safety, and gentle learning, we reconnect with parts of ourselves that often go unheard.
I also love mythology, philosophy, nature, traditional Greek music, and books that make you think differently. From Robert Sapolsky's science to Shakespeare's dreams — I find inspiration in many places.
Why I Created With Elli
I created With Elli because I wanted to share what I've learned — not as an expert, but as someone walking alongside others. I believe that whether you're exploring art, learning to use a computer for the first time, or diving into Greek culture, the process should feel warm, encouraging, and human.
Most of all, I want to connect with others who have stories of their own. There's something sacred in the way we learn from one another.
And Now…
This is just the beginning. I hope this journey helps me discover things I haven't yet found — and maybe it helps you find something gentle and meaningful too.
Thank you for being here.
With care,
Elli
