Who I Am
My name is Elli Georgiadou. I'm a Greek soul living in Leiden, Netherlands — a city I've come to love for its canals, its quiet streets, and the way it holds space for reflection.
I'm someone who moves through life slowly and with intention. I'm drawn to peaceful spaces, deep conversations, expressive art, and the kind of connection that makes people feel truly seen. I care deeply about creating environments where people feel safe to be themselves — to breathe, to question, to heal.
I'm also neurodivergent — something I discovered later in life — and that lens has reshaped the way I understand myself, my relationships, and the world around me in the most profound ways.
Why I Started This Blog
open
For most of my life, I looked outward for safety. I moved from my family home to relationships and friendships, always searching for belonging, always trying to hold things together. I thought being part of something meant I was okay.
What I didn't realize was that I had never really learned to be with myself.
Therapy changed that. Slowly, then more steadily, I began to meet myself — without judgment, without rushing. I started to understand my patterns, my pain, my sensitivity, and eventually, my strength.
With Elli grew out of that process. It is a place where I put words to the things many of us feel but rarely say out loud. A gentle space for the messy, beautiful, ongoing work of being human.
What You'll Find Here
open
This blog is a blend of personal reflection, psychology, philosophy, and soulful living. I write about:
- Healing, therapy, and emotional growth
- Neurodivergence — autism, ADHD, and the AuDHD experience
- Relationships, empathy, and connection
- Ideas and meaning — the big questions that shape how we live
- The quiet, everyday moments that remind us we're alive
I'm not a therapist or a psychologist. I'm someone who has done — and continues to do — the inner work, and who believes that sharing honestly can help others feel less alone.
A Little More About Me
open
When I'm not writing, you might find me:
- Tending to my plants
- Journaling by candlelight
- Getting lost in a good book
- Listening to someone share their story — genuinely, fully
- Exploring the science of the human mind through podcasts and lectures
I carry my Greek roots with me wherever I go — the warmth, the love of food and family, the tendency to ask big questions over long dinners.
This space is yours too. If something I've written has touched you, made you think, or made you feel less alone — I'd love to hear about it.
Or leave a comment on any post. Every message is read with care.
With softness and warmth,
Elli
